Sunday

I worked yesterday. I really like my new station. I definately have no complaints really. It's almost like working for a different department though. You are so far removed from the hussle bussel of the bulk of Sarasota and the dynamics are totally different. I'm sure I'll be kicking myself when I move back up North!! Anyways, got home this morning and my mom had the kiddos dressed and ready for church, so we scooted right off. We met my Aunt and her kids there. It was a nice service. My mom had the kids all day yesterday. She said everything went good, but she did say what a difference it made having little helpers with her (Bret and Jaena). Cute story. Maddox called me at work last night to say goodnight, but he wasn't saying much. I could hear my mom laughing in the background and then Maddox says, "It's not funny, don't laugh!" She told me he was trying so hard to put the phone on his shoulder and press his ear to it like she does:) In other news, minus last night ( Ty got up for a bottle at 4) for the past week the twins have been sleeping through. I may have already mentioned that, but hey, it deserves mentioning again it's so awesome! Let's see....After church we went to the school playground. It's a big one with three seperate playgrounds for different ages. So my MCM of the day was on my way to the playground, I was going to stop and get McDonalds cheeseburgers for everyone ( 69 cent Sunday) anyways, 15 minutes till 11 and they still aren't serving lunch....I tell them I'll just come back. So I drive all the way down 41 and back.....4 minutes until 11 by the time I get back and they still won't serve me stinkin' burgers! So I pull around and sit in the parking lot for 4 minutes with the screaming carload of kids to wait. Finally for a third time I pull up and beg, "can I pllllleeeeease order burgers now??!" pheww. Very good might I mention! After a meltdown leaving the playground things calmed down and we came home for nap. When the boys got up I took Bret and all the kids to the mall play area where we finished off our day. It was packed today! Funny how a bunch of inanimate objects to climb on can keep kids happy for so long! When we got home Uncle Bret took the kids for a 1/2 hour ride around our yard in the trailer of the riding mower. That should have given me time to get a few more things done, but fussy one and two were not happy the entire time!! Maddox just turned the computer off, it will be shutting down soon...stink stink stink..... Okay we are good now. Okay, night night time for all. I'll catch up tomorrow. I think I'm going to take Maddox to his first movie tomorrow night. I don't know we'll have to see.

Water Day

I'm gonna try to keep it short and sweet ( yay your thinkin':) We swam at my Grandma's this am. ( Meemaw to the boys ) . Boys took a nap. I went to the grocery and had a follow up Doc appt. Went to Marina Jack's to play in fountains. Got in a good 20 min, not without injury...to both boys. Skinned up knees and elbows (Maddox not thrilled about gnats clinging to his wound ). 50 million errands all around town...again. And back home for a beautiful, chaos filled 1 1/2 hr before bedtime. MMM, but Arthur brought me pizza from the best in town and I'm full, tired and the kids are all sleepin'....hence the hurried blog! Work tomorrow.

Forgetful me

Crazy morning! Mostly my fault. (Always my fault if you ask Arik:) I drove all around Sarasota back and forth over the same place aimlessly. Our plans kept changing and well it's just too complicated to write the entire reason. Crazy though. And then Stupo Bank........I had a check to cash from my Grandma and I went to the drive through..the commercial opening.....She of course asked if I had and account with them, to which I replied.....scratch that.....begeed, "No, but could I please use the drivethrough as I have four small children I don't want to lug inside." No luck, they made me come in so they could, "have me on camera". ughhh. So I unloaded all of them to walk in for 3 minutes!! I'll repeat, Stupo Bank. I have a new award I'd like to pass out each day.. The "MCM" of the day award. ( MOST CHAOTIC MOMEMT ) Today that award goes to..... dadadadadad ( drum roll, i know lame ) 1020 am. Phone rings...Olivia gets her leg caught in the changing table (screaming) , Maddox tries in vain to jump onto the counter and on his way down NAILS the underside of his chin ( screaming ), I grab the pack of vegetables and place them on his chin after I free Olivia's leg (still fussing) ...wait wait.....cue Jaxon....hmm, "hmm Maddox tries aaaannndd failed, let me give it a shot!" owwwww bad idea Jax, Jax falls in vain as well, but decides to change it up a bit and NAIL his nose.....enter nosebleed...oh and ( screaming) iced veggie pack???? check! Maddox...."what's that red stuff on Jaxon's nose mom?" Jaxon ....ticked that his blanket is getting blood on it. And Ty?? poor little buddy observing it all with a trickle of milk drool running out of the side of his mouth.. ( no screaming ). Yes 1020 definately my MCM of the day! And let's see, we played all afternoon at my friends house with her two children. Arik mowed the lawn....yes you read properly and no it wasn't a typo. And now I am just trying to finish up my daily house chores!! I have a little over an hour and then it's time for Season Finale of So you think you can dance....which by the way, I'm going to see in October!

Feeling much better....

For the most part....Still have a residual sore throat, but overall much better. Actually Sunday at work I was running a temp of 102.4 at it's highest. I was debating going home b/c I felt so awful I couldn't even sleep while I was there...Anyways, we had a call for an accident outside and honestly, it was like I had a fuacet over my head pouring water over me. I definately broke my fever. It was to the point I couldn't even see because I was sweating so bad. My shirt looked like I just pulled it out of the washer....even though it didn't smell like it! And this was withing the first few minutes of being outside. Kinda embarrassing, but I sure felt better afterwards. It was almost immediate. Anyways, enough about me......Arik feels yuck, he went to the Y yesterday and just got back again today because he wanted to sit in the steam room. He said it seems to help. I feel pretty bad for him. My brother and Aunt and the neighbor girls also have it pretty bad. So far the kids are doing good, however, the flu does have a 7-14 day incubation period. Hoefully we'll all be better before we go to Illinois! Today we mosied around for a bit and then went to Arlington Park. It was pretty cool out still...well as cool as our summer mornings get and shaded so everyone was happy. There was a camp there though so it was a little crowded. I don't have any pics from this am, but I did post some of us playing around being piggies this morning. Also, I had more that I tried sending to my e-mail, but they weren't showing up for some reason. I'll get those up later. Hope you enjoy. I work tomorrow, so I probably won't post again until Thursday. We are going to my Grandma's this afternoon to swim which should be fun. So I may actually get some pics up later. Otherwise, that's all!!!

Stinkin' Sick

It may be another day or two befor I update. Yesterday I woke up sick as can be. Luckily Arik is off this weekend...unluckily for him....and he let me sleep most of the afternoon yesterday. I woke up this morning thinking I may be a little better, but it has gotten progressively worse over the day again. My biggest concern of course is passing it around so I am doing what I can to prevent it. It's almost 3 and I get to wake Arik up then so I can try to rest some more. I have to say, that being very sick is probably one of the harder things about being a parent because there is so little you can do. Please say prayers for us that I get better soon and that no one else gets sick!

BOUNCE - NOT

Instead of Bounce - U I am going to call it Jaxon Cry the whole time- U . Yes he had a fir from the beginning. Not an enjoyable afternoon playdate. And why is it that these times are alsways when I am with a girlfriend of mine and their kid/kids. By myself, my kids are typically well behaved. Put them in a situation where they can make it seem like I've lost all control of my children and they just can't pass it up. At one point I had Ty in my left arm, the bottle propped under my chin, dragging Jaxon off the floor as he kicked and screamed. To top it off when I put him on time out, he looked at me defiantly and screamed, "NOOOOOOO!!" Maddox was pretty much doing his own thing until we went to leave and he lost it b/c I wouldn't let him play the video game anymore. I pushed my way out of the door, the twins in a double stroller that barely fit through the walkway, Maddox and of course Jaxon screaming and crying and my friend looking at me sorrowfully saying, "I'll pray for you." Sleep is calling!! Anyways, here are the pics I said I'd get up.

Yesterday

Playing catch up from yesterday. I'll try to make it quick...for your benefit and mine. ( I have a sitter for the boys this am so I can try and get some work done around the house.) Anyways, I took the kids to Bounce-U yesterday, which is basically a huge warehouse with all the inflatable jumping toys for the kids to play on. It's a pretty good deal. Pay 12 bucks for both kids and that includes snacks and a drink when they are done. Great time, the twins slept most of it. Then a basic Smith afternoon.... I think....Oh , yes....I took the kids to the do-it -yourself carwash and let them well, do-it-themsleves1 They loved that. I don't think I sent those picws to my computer yet, so I may post those later. That's about it....Oh and I introduced Ty and Olivia to tender sweet carrots baby food. They LOVED it! They each ate half a jar, so we'll see how they tolerate the food and go from there. Until later....
